Entering & Leaving the Dojo
When entering or leaving the Dojo, face the Shomen and bow. The Shomen is the place where the head instructor sits and where there may be various examples of calligraphy, flags, photos, and other items. As a member of the Dojo, you are its representative to the world. Coming and going you are most conspicuous as a member. Try to look neat and clean. Your deportment reflects on all other members, and especially on the head instructor and on the art of Aikido.
